Samuel Hon

Principal Consultant | California, USA

Samuel, founder of HON Marketing, is an award-winning marketing director, digital and social media strategist, brand consultant and designer. He is also a Stanford Certified Project Manager and a Certified Inbound Marketing Professional. Samuel was named 2012/2013 Ad Person of the Year by the American Advertising Federation – Sacramento.

Apart from consulting clients at HON Marketing, Samuel also serves as the Vice President, Marketing & Creative Services at First Corporate Solutions (FCS), a risk management company providing global due diligence solutions and cloud-based applications to entrepreneurs and Fortune 500 legal and financial institutions. At FCS, he oversees all of the company’s marketing activities, including research, design, branding, strategic alliances, direct mail campaigns, internet/social media marketing, CRM system, marketing intelligence/automation software, trade shows and vendor management. Samuel was elected as President of the American Advertising Federation – Sacramento and he grew membership by 150% within one year.

Samuel received his Bachelor of Science with honors and distinction in Journalism – Strategic Communication from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, where he was awarded the school’s highest honor, Senior Achievement Award. He is an Inbound Marketing Certified Professional and holds Certificates in Search Marketing and Technical Web Design. Samuel is also the recipient of various marketing and design awards, including a Silver ADDY Award from AAF-Sacramento and four American Inhouse Design Awards.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Samuel is fluent in Chinese and English. Samuel started his international journey when he moved to the United States for college on his own when he was 19. Nancy Friedman, founder of NextStep, previously served as Vice President of Advertising at Visa USA, Vice President of Marketing Services at Levi Strauss and Brand and Regional Manager of
Dreyer’s Brand Ice Cream. Since 2006, Friedman has been a leadership development consultant, facilitator and executive coach at NextStep. She focuses on helping individuals and teams improve their performance, adapt to rapidly changing environments, and improve teamwork and communication.

Bret Clement

Bret Clement is founder of Clement Communications, a fast growing public relations firm with full time staff in San Francisco, Denver and Boston. Before launching Clement Communications in 2009, Clement spent 6 years helping build one of the fastest growing PR firms in Silicon Valley, Page One PR. Clement has managed PR teams for some of the world’s leading technology companies, including HP, IBM and Microsoft. A veteran of Waggener Edstrom, Alexander Ogilvy Public Relations and Metzger Associates, Clement has also led worldwide corporate communications in house for various start-up companies. He has received many PR awards, including an IABC Bronze Quill for crisis communications and a PRSA Gold Pick for developing innovative PR campaigns. Clement created the world’s first online soap opera, As the Web Turns, and was the founder of Colorado’s original PRSA Technology Section. He holds a BA in communications from the University of Colorado. He is a certified Google AdWords professional and earned certification in social media through the Word of Mouth Marketing Association.

Raphael is responsible for building strategic relationships with our prospects and clients. He has more than 10 years of experiences in the airline and service industries. Also, he was appointed as a committee head of leisure events for an international educational organization. With his expertise in customer relations, he is rated as one of the top performers among his colleagues for his consistent service excellence. Raphael is now based in Hong Kong and travels globally on a regular basis. He is currently in his further pursuit of International Hospitality and Event Management at Sheffield Hallam University.

Demetri Gregorakis

Terence more recently worked on technical assistance contracts for social determinants in public health. Terence received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University, Sacramento with concentrations in Marketing and Operations Management.
